Prior to joining Cumberland Psychiatric Group, Lindsey Brown worked as a counselor leading group therapy and psychoeducation groups focused on a variety of topics including stress management, symptom management & relapse prevention, assertiveness skills, conflict resolution, and self esteem. 

Today she works on an individual basis with both adolescents and adults in addition to providing family and couples counseling. She enjoys working with others to educate them about mental illness with particular attention to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorders. Ms. Brown also offers coaching and therapy to individuals who are either considering or who are actively in the process of making significant life changes . 

For the last decade Ms. Brown has worked closely with psychiatrists and has an extensive background in psychiatric medications.  She employs various  approaches to therapy including the use of art and cognitive behavioral techniques.
